Those who have gotten lost wandering around Richmond’s massive Ikea may have felt as though they would need to spend the night if they couldn’t make their way out; but an upcoming contest by the Swedish furniture company is offering a chance to actually tuck in for an in-store, overnight pajama party.
On Feb. 23, guests can put on their PJs and hang out in Ikea from 8 to 11 p.m. doing yoga, meditating, eating bedtime snacks or getting guidance from a sleep expert.
From that group, 20 people will be selected to spend the night in Ikea’s bedroom section. They’ll each pick their own set of linens and receive of bag of Ikea sleep essentials.
To participate, sign up online at IKEAFamily.ca/PJParty. Those who sign up can choose to be entered into the overnight sleepover contest. Sleepover winners will be notified a week in advance, by Feb. 16.
Coquitlam’s Ikea is also participating in the event, as is Ikea locations in Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Burlington, Etobicoke, Vaughan, North York, Halifax and Ottawa.
