There are two breathtaking displays in Metro Vancouver cities that are sure to be the Instagram darlings of the holiday season this year.

One of them, a soaring, 20-foot tall illuminated moose, is already stealing hearts at Richmond Centre. The bedazzled behemoth is a total showstopper. With more than 35,000 golden lights adorning its wiry frame, it’s hard not to be impressed.

That is, of course, until you feast your eyes on “Chrismoose.”

“Chrismoose” is Vancouver’s answer to the Richmond sparkler. Rather than hiding indoors, the Vancouver moose is displayed outside at Canada Place on Vancouver’s stunning waterfront. With that in mind, “Chris” is five feet shorter than Richmond’s festive offering, standing at 15-feet.

While these sparkling beasts are quite beguiling, there will be a number of incredible displays around the Lower Mainland over the holiday season. What’s more, some of these displays offer a number of fun activities, too. So be sure to check out our epic list of things to do around Metro Vancouver during the holidays to soak in some of the magical sights.
