Solve the munchies dilemma before you blaze on April 20 this year by making plans to grab the special secret menu limited release 4/20-friendly sandwich at Vancouver’s Little Juke.

The fried chicken joint will have “The Derek” available for dine-in and take-out at their West End location only, conveniently located near Sunset Beach where the annual 4/20 pot celebration takes place.

All of your cravings can easily be met by this ultimate epic meld of savoury, sweet, and spicy. “The Derek” is made with fried chicken, cheese sauce, pickled cabbage and jalapeños sandwiched between two liège-style waffles, and is served with a side of rolling papers, all for $10.

Billed as a “sandwich-and-spliff” special, “The Derek” will disappear faster than the haze sure to linger over the nearby beaches on this sacred day of pot smoking.

PS, if you are craving some Juke, but are more about the family-friendly than the 420-friendly, you might want to get an order in for their seasonal Turkducken meal, ideal for Easter gatherings. Juke’s Easter Turducken Feast feeds six to eight people and includes pre-sliced turducken — roasted turkey, duck and chicken — with large sides of fried Brussels sprouts, herb-roasted potatoes, fennel pork and pistachio stuffing, Cacio E Pepe fried cauliflower, and country biscuits with whipped schmaltz plus, for a sweet and seasonally-fitting finish, a package of marshmallow Peeps.

A limited number of Juke’s Easter Turducken Feasts are available for $169 plus tax and can be ordered by emailing info@jukefriedchicken.com before noon on Wednesday, April 17. All orders will be ready for pickup at Little Juke (1074 Davie St.) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21.
