Broadway will be closed between Phillips Place and Duthie Avenuenext Tuesday, May 21 for FortisBC Gas Line Upgrades construction. Access will be maintained for local homes and emergency services only. This work is expected to finish in late June.

The good news is that all westbound lanes on Lougheed Highway are now open at Madison Avenue, as work in the area wraps up. Paving and line painting is expected to be completed on Madison Avenue and Douglas Road next week, meaning the area will fully reopen for traffic.

“We want to thank the community for its patience during this work,” said a news release.

Civil restoration on Lougheed Highwayis progressing. There will be further temporary lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Holdom and Madison avenues, as crews work on lighting, curbs and medians.
