Police say Clarkson has been charged with five counts of sexual assault and five counts of touching for a sexual purpose a person under the age of 16.

But New Westminster Sgt. Jeff Scott said investigators believe there could be more victims.

“The victims of these alleged offences are all girls who were under the age of 10 years old at the time,” Scott said in the release.

The alleged offences took place in New Westminster, Penticton and Naramata between Sept. 1, 2008 and Jan. 1, 2010, according to court documents.

Police have not said when the investigation began. It’s also unclear if Clarkson is a New Westminster resident.

The Record has asked the New Westminster Police for more information about this investigation but has not heard back yet.

Clarkson's next court appearance is scheduled for April 10 in New Westminster.
