Alleged gang member faces charges after Victoria police seize gun, drugs, cash

A Victoria man with alleged links to organized crime is facing charges after police seized a loaded handgun, drugs, and a large amount of cash last month. The suspect was taken into custody on the 200-block of Gorge Road East on July 4.

A Victoria man with alleged links to organized crime is facing charges after police seized a loaded handgun, drugs, and a large amount of cash last month.

The suspect was taken into custody on the 200-block of Gorge Road East on July 4. The arrest followed an investigation that lasted several weeks.

Officers discovered the loaded gun with two loaded magazines and additional ammunition while arresting the man. They also found $25,000 in cash and significant amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl.

The suspect identified himself to officers as a member of the NorteƱos gang.

Roy Pelgrom faces seven charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a firearm without a licence, possession of a loaded prohibited weapon and careless storage of a firearm.
