Liberal Premier Christy Clark, NDP leader John Horgan and Green Party leader Andrew Weaver battle it out for the provincial leadership May 9, but now we know how they stack up in Nardwuar the Human Serviette’s world. The tam-wearing media personality, intrepid interviewer and frontman of the Evaporators posted his recent interviews with the three political leaders this week.

Clark’s video timed in at more than 16 minutes and, as of Friday afternoon, had captured more than 22,000 views with 517 thumbs up and 89 thumbs down, compared to Horgan’s slightly shorter interview of just over nine minutes, which had earned more than 7,500 views as of Friday afternoon with 158 thumbs up and 13 thumbs down. Weaver, who clocked in at over 11 minutes, earned more than 6,800 views with 206 thumbs up and 16 thumbs down.

A smiling Clark shows off some considerable punk rock cred as she discusses seeing DOA and the Pointed Sticks back in the day, as well as the Replacements, the Young Fresh Fellows and Pearl Jam forerunners Mother Love Bone. She also speaks effortlessly on the K-Tels, the Subhumans and the Specials, before explaining the difference between Socreds and the B.C. Liberals. She also accepts Nardwuar’s invitation to do the “Hip Flip” with him, joining an esteemed group of hip-flipping politicians that includes Jean Chretien and Justin Trudeau.

Nardwuar kicks off his interview with NDP leader John Horgan by handing him a copy of a Tommy Douglas LP featuring the famed Canadian politician’s greatest hits of speeches and comments. Too late. Turns out Horgan already has a copy stashed in a box in his basement. He promised to hand the extra LP over to Vancouver-Point Grey NDP MLA David Eby.

You’ll hear Horgan’s answer to the age-old Betty or Veronica question after Nardwuar hands him an Archie comic, Betty and Veronica go to Expo.

Who knew? It’s the only comic book in the B.C. legislature library, according to Horgan, who also accepts Nardwuar’s hip flip invitation. Watch the video to find out the other gems Nardwuar uncovers.

Nardwuar, appropriately, gave the Green Party's Andrew Weaver a bottle of DOA beer -- Joe Keithley is running under the Green banner in Burnaby-Lougheed.

Viewers learn Weaver's rugby-playing past included being teammates with Prince Edward while at Cambridge, and viewers also discover Weaver's love of Pierre Trudeau.

We won't reveal his answer to Nardwuar's question, "Should politicians expire." You'll have to watch. And, yes, he did the hip flip.
