City of Port Moody drops the mic in logo design war

Chefs know it. Interior decorators know it. Indeed, anyone who’s creative knows it.

Three is the magic number in design.

And now, apparently, the City of Port Moody knows it.

On April 1 it announced it was changing its logo — by putting in a third sailboat  and slightly darkening the blue.

“Addition of 3rd sailboat gives city a new visual identity that’s in line with the times,” the City of Port Moody tweeted on April 1.

Could this, by chance, be a dig at the Great Vancouver Logo Debate on the day when having fun at someone’s expense is not only allowed but officially sanctioned?
