The same group that held a day-long disruption on Vancouver’s Burrard Bridge to draw attention to climate issues will conduct a route-less “snake march” in downtown Friday afternoon.
Extinction Rebellion Vancouver has organized the march, which will involve participants “snake marching through downtown with signs, songs and love for our planet.”
The marchers will be assembling at Georgia and Hamilton streets at 4:30 p.m. and will soon begin to wind their way through downtown streets carrying banners and signs.
“There is no planned route — it will be up to the rebels marching on the day to decide where we are going!” says Extinction Rebellion.
Similarly, the end point and time will be up to the protesters.
Extinction Rebellion Vancouver’s action on the Burrard Bridge on Oct. 7 resulted in 10 arrests.
