Juneuary got you down? Cheer up, Vancouver: The forecast for this weekend and into next week is all about that sun, and it’s going to be hot.

Both Environment Canada and the Weather Channel are calling for temps in the mid- to upper 20s by this time next week.

Today’s downpour might be a downer, but it looks like we’re going to kick the rain clouds to the curb by Thursday evening, and Mister Golden Sun will start shining back down on the Vancouver area on Friday.

This weekend, feel free to fire up the barbecue, because it’s going to be 24 C and sunny on Saturday, and then it starts to warm up Sunday and into the work week.

So while today you are reaching for your umbrella and sweater and posting sad IG stories of puddles, think of a few days down the line when you can complain about how freakin’ hot it is around here.
