Stephen Hawking, the world renowned physicist, died in his Cambridge, England home early Wednesday morning.
Hawking, who was 76, was born January 8, 1942, the 300th anniversary of Galileo Galilei's death and died on March 14, the anniversary of Albert Einstein's birth as well as Pi (π) Day — the infinite number that's used to calculate the circumferance of a circle.
The whole world is mourning on social media about his death. In China, the news generated nearly half a billion clicks on Weibo (Chinese Twitter).
