Want to be a busker for TransLink?

While you may have seen a number of TransLink buskers over the years, you may not have known exactly what to do to become one of them.

If you think you have what it takes, you can register to become part of the city’s vibrant musical culture. The transit authority holds the auditions annually, and they accept solo and duo acts.

Once accepted, these acts play at designated areas along the Expo and Canada Lines for one year. Performances are 90 minutes in length, with 30 minute intervals between each one.

The transit authority also adds that performers,”must be neatly clad, orderly and polite in conduct and speech at all times when on TransLink property.”

In order to participate in the program, you must purchase a 12-month license for $75. You will have to make a full payment, in cash or cheque (made out to “TransLink), upon being accepted into the program.

In order to apply, you must send your best 30-second performance to [email protected] by Tuesday, November 13.
