Microsoft Corporation is shifting some of its assets around Vancouver and the rest of Canada.
The tech giant announced Tuesday (Sept. 11) it’s putting down $570 million in new investments in its Canada-wide footprint, including construction of a new Canadian headquarters in downtown Toronto.
As part of the investment, Microsoft says it will move its sales office in Vancouver.
Julia Perreira, a spokeswoman working on behalf of Microsoft Canada, said the company did not have any details to share regarding when the move would take place or the site of the new office.
In 2016, Microsoft moved into a 142,000-square-foot office covering the top two floors of Pacific Centre on Robson Street and Granville Street in downtown Vancouver.
There were about 400 workers based at the office at that time but the newly renovated location has a capacity to hold about 750 workers.
Microsoft also has a 36,000-square-foot office at 858 Beatty Street.
