Flynn Lamont, Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services Acting Battalion Chief, died Oct. 29

More than 500 firefighters from the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and the United States attended the funeral Tuesday for Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services Acting Battalion Chief Flynn Lamont, who died of pancreatic cancer Oct. 29. Lamont, 59, had been with the fire department since 1987. A procession of firefighters made their way through the West End to First Baptist Church on Burrard Street, where the funeral was held.
