Celebration of public art culminates with street festival Aug. 20

There’s been plenty of planning, prepping and painting going on this week as part of the Vancouver Mural Festival.

Local and international artists have been busy creating more than 35 permanent murals along Main Street between Prior Street and 16th Avenue.

Presented by the City Of Vancouver, Mount Pleasant BIA and Burrard Arts Foundation, Vancouver's biggest celebration of public art culminates this Saturday, Aug. 20, with community events taking place throughout the day including public markets and a street festival with musical performances, interactive art exhibits and more.
