Richmond man killed in motorcycle crash in East Vancouver

The motorcyclist lost control on Boundary Road near Rumble

A 23-year-old Richmond man has died following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in East Vancouver.

The motorcyclist was heading south on Boundary Road near Rumble Avenue just after 2 p.m. Thursday when he lost control and was thrown from the bike. Bystanders performed CPR before paramedics arrived.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash but police say speed appears to be a factor.

The death is the city’s 10th traffic-related fatality of the year.
