The VPD would like to speak to a motorcyclist who informed another motorist of a beating he had witnessed in the Downtown Eastside Tuesday morning.

A double shooting near South Marine Drive on Saturday night appears to be targeted, the Vancouver Police Department said.

Just before 8 p.m. on Jan. 6, two men in their early twenties were in a parking lot in an industrial area at East Kent Avenue South near Borden Street when they were shot. They were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The VPD says investigators believe that the shootings were targeted and that there is no reason to believe the public is at risk. They are asking anyone who may have information about this incident to call 604-717-2541.

No further information was available from police.
