Vancouver police are investigating after a stabbing on Monday evening sent a victim to hospital with serious injuries.

Sgt. Aaron Roed, media relations officer, told Vancouver Is Awesome that police responded to a call just after 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 4 near Abbott and Keefer Streets, which is outside of International Village Mall.

Roed confirmed that one victim was stabbed and subsequently transported to hospital. However, he would not comment on the victim’s condition as of today.

One person is also in custody, but no charges have been laid. Roed said he could not comment on any further details of the incident as it is still under investigation.

Kris Constable posted a video of the scene on Instagram, commenting that he’d never seen more “do not cross” tape and that there was a “pile of blood.”

Vancouver Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 911 or contact the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section.
