The Vancouver weather forecast is calling for seven straight days of rain after heavy rainfall caused localized flooding in the city.

Crews worked throughout Sunday evening to try and unclog storm trains in high traffic areas.

“Intersections, such as Columbia Street near West Second Avenue and Hastings Street near Clark Drive saw water nearly a foot deep on the roads and sidewalks,” reported the Weather Network.

There was also heavy flooding near Olympic Village, Cambie and Broadway, and parts of Richmond, with reports of 15 to 20 millimetres of rainfall in roughly two hours.

Now the forecast is calling for seven straight days of rainfall.
