This Burnaby brewer just added game-changing grub to its tasting room

It might seem weird for a guy like me who doesn’t drink alcohol to write about a brewery but, well, here we are.

The thing is, I really like hanging out with friends at Dageraad Brewing in Burnaby. I find most pubs too noisy, so I appreciate simple vibe of Dageraad’s tasting room that makes it easy to have a good conversation.

But, as I said, I don’t drink alcohol so I sometimes feel a little left out.

Not anymore.

Dageraad announced this week that it had stepped up its food game and I will be all over this.

“At long last, we have some heartier food options for folks in the tasting room,” the company tweeted. “Delicious sandwiches from our friends @cioffismeat, grilled on our fancy new panini press.”

Cioffi’s, in case you don’t know, is a superb meat market and deli in Burnaby Heights that stocks an incredible array of meats and cheeses.

The tweet included the photo you see attached to this blog, which made me want to eat my iPhone screen.

This is big.
