Top 5 Vancouver Courier stories this week

April 18-24, 2015
  1. Our most-read story over the past week was a Kudos & Kvetches column kvetching about the number of walkers who butt to the front of the line and slow runners down at the annual Vancouver Sun Run instead of leaving with the designated walking group at the back of the line. A lot of online commenters strongly disagreed.
  2. In second place was a story by reporter Cheryl Rossi on a parent angry that public school websites are being used to endorse the Yes side on the transit and transportation funding plebiscite.
  3. Our third most-clicked post was last week’s number two: a column by Michael Geller, who has first-hand experience in the matter, about how former city planners and city hall don’t always get along well together.
  4. Coming in at number four was our top story from last week, by intern Deanna Cheng, regarding the hair-raising English Bay oil spill April 8 that explained how the most efficient way to soak up oil is to use human hair recycled from salons.
  5. Last but not least was a post by light-footed columnist Jessica Barrett about a growing early morning dance scene unrelated to club culture.
