Red, white and green: The centrepiece of the Playhouse Wine Festival, the Bacchanalia Gala attracted wine enthusiasts to the Hotel Vancouver for the Goldcorp-sponsored black-tie soiree. Vicki Prince-Wright once again fronted the five-course charity dinner prepared by chef de cuisine Joseph Schaeffer. While copious amounts of red and whites were poured, the dominant hue was green as several hundred thousand dollars was raised for Max Reimer's regional theatre company.

Silver lining: Wines from Saeedeh Salem's Okanagan Le Vieux Pin winery were uncorked at Leone's runway romp. Owners Maria and Alberto Leone marked the 25th anniversary of their designer store with an evening of fashion and fundraising. Hemlines were high and necklines low as fashion forward women, including cast members from The Real Housewives of Vancouver, attended. Proceeds supported United Way's Women in Philanthropy Success By 6 initiative, which helps vulnerable kids enter kindergarten ready to succeed.

Fresh face: The young, bold and beautiful gathered at David Aisenstat's Ki Modern + Japanese Bar for Kasondra Cohen's third Face of Today Gala. The restaurant was transformed into an ethereal Winter Palace Court to benefit FOT, a foundation born from Cohen to engage her generation in making a difference and changing the lives of those in need.
