Update: Vancouver police investigate two overdose deaths on Knight Street

Hazmat crews have now determined the scene in the 4000 block of Knight Street to be safe, allowing first responders to continue with the investigation into the suspected drug overdose deaths of two adults.

Update: On Tuesday afternoon, the Vancouver Police Department confirmed that it was investigating suspected drug overdose deaths of two adults in the 4000 block of Knight Street.

Hazmat crews have now determined the scene to be safe, police say, allowing first responders to continue with the investigation.

Just before 11:30 a.m. on June 13, Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service called the VPD to assist with the scene, which required extra precautions.

The fire department had the lead on the hazmat scene. The VPD  and BC Cororners Service are investigating the deaths.

Police say there is no further information to provide.
