A 33-year-old Vancouver died early Friday morning in an alleged road rage incident.

A Vancouver man is dead after an alleged road rage incident turned deadly.

Just after 1:30 a.m. Friday Vancouver police received a 9-1-1 call about a man shot near Bridgeway Street just under the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge. Officers arrived on scene to find a 33-year-old Vancouver man shot dead and a woman suffering from minor injuries.

“The evidence suggests that this homicide was the result of a road rage incident between the victim, believed to be in a grey Toyota Matrix, and the suspect, who was in a white sedan,” VPD media relations officer Sgt. Jason Robillard said in a press release.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. The victim has not yet been identified.

The death is Vancouver’s 14th homicide of the year.

Police are asking anyone who may have dash cam footage near the intersection of McGill and Renfrew Streets between 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. Friday morning, or who has information about this incident, to call homicide investigators at 604-717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
