An elderly man is in serious condition after an assault Wednesday morning on Expo Boulevard.
According to a police press release, two men got into an altercation outside Costco just after 11 a.m.
“It appears a man in his 80s struck his head on the ground after allegedly being pushed,” said Const. Doucette.
The suspect fled on foot while bystanders performed first aid on the victim until paramedics arrived.
The 57-year-old suspect was arrested almost two hours later near his home in East Vancouver.
