Vancouver police Thursday arrested an Ottawa man in the 2012 murders of Sandip Duhre and Sukhveer Dhak.

According to multiple media reports, Duhre was shot in front of shocked witnesses in the lobby of the Sheraton Wall Centre in January 2012. Dhak was shot and killed in a separate incident at the Burnaby Executive Hotel several months later.

Vancouver police officers were in Ottawa this week to arrest Larry Ronald Amero, 40, with help from Ottawa police and the Ontario Provincial Biker Enforcement Unit. He will remain in custody in Ontario until he is transported to B.C. to face charges of conspiracy to commit murder.

Amero, who is reportedly a high-profile member of the Hells Angels, is facing charges of conspiracy to commit the murders of Duhre and Dhak.

Police also said in a press release Thursday afternoon that Dean Michael Wiwchar, 32, is being charged with one count of murder in relation to the killing of Duhre and one count of conspiracy to commit the murder of Dhak.

Rabih “Robby” Alkhalil, 30, is already facing a murder charge in the Duhre’s death.

All three are known to police.
