Vancouver police searching for missing elderly man

81-year-old Bud Buholzer was last seen Thursday morning near Cambie and West Pender

Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing elderly man who has not been seen or heard from in more than 24 hours.

Eighty-one-year-old Bud Buholzer was last seen at 11 a.m. Thursday near Cambie Street and West Pender. Police say his disappearance is out of character and he may appear confused due to dementia.

His family, and police, are concerned for his wellbeing, as he is in need of medication.

Buholzer is described as white, with a pale complexion. He is 5’10” tall with a medium build, bald with blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a red jacket and checkered pants with a brown, white and blue pattern. He was wearing sandals and yellow/green gloves, and using a walker.

Anyone who sees Bud Buholzer is asked to call 911 immediately and stay with him until police arrive.
