Police are looking for 65-year-old Allan Graham, who has dementia and has been missing since getting separated from his family on Tuesday.

The search for a missing tourist continues.

Sixty-five-year-old Allan Graham, who has dementia, has been missing since Tuesday, Aug. 21. Vancouver police said Friday that he was spotted the next day at around 8 p.m. walking in the area of East Hastings Street and Slocan.

“The VPD is asking local residents to check their yards, buildings or garages for Mr. Graham, who is in need of important daily medication for his health issues,” media relations officer Sgt. Jason Robillard said in a press release.

He added that investigators also believe Graham may try to travel to Vancouver Island and are asking anyone traveling on BC Ferries to keep an eye out for him.

Graham initially got separated from his family near Dunlevy and Jackson avenues just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

“He suffers from onset dementia and his family are concerned for his well-being,” Robillard said. “He is a visitor to Vancouver and is not familiar with the city.”

Graham is described as white, about six-feet tall with a slim build, short dark grey/brown hair, a reddish complexion and a mustache. He is wearing a dark blue coat, beige pants and brown shoes.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 and stay with him until first responders arrive.
