Graphic Design + Marketing Assistant
Role: 1-2 days per week in office (Monday & Tuesday) + occasional vacation coverage.
Salary: Hourly, commensurate with experience
Weekly tasks (Westender):
• Design print ads for weekly clients and special features
• Design digital ads as required.
• Contribute creative ideas and assist in creating and executing in-house marketing campaigns
• Maintain up-to-date marketing materials for sales representatives
• Provide creative input as required for special feature layouts and covers
• Liaise with sales reps and clients regarding their ad copy
• Assist with design and production administrative tasks
• Maintain the Growler Shopify store (upload new products, fulfill orders, manage subscriptions, etc)
Magazines (Growler + Alchemist):
• Assist with creative layout for our seasonal craft beer and cocktail magazines
• Assist with preparing images for web and social media
Required Skills:
• Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
• Willingness to take direction
• Must be a good communicator (with co-workers, clients and outside collaborators)
• Ability to accept constructive criticism from both co-workers and clients
• Meticulous attention to detail
• A positive can-do attitude with a willingness to troubleshoot problems
• Illustration, photography and video editing skills an asset, but not required.
• The successful candidate MUST be available to work in our Vancouver office for 2 days a week, and have some flexibility in terms of working extra days as the workload requires.
