Award-winning food writer Nigella Lawson celebrates home cooking in her latest cookbook At My Table with a stop in Vancouver during her Western Canadian book tour.
Lawson has been encouraging home cooks with her approachable, achievable and delicious recipes since she arrived on the culinary scene in the late 1990’s with How to Eat and How to be a Domestic Goddess. Her books inspire home cooks to try new flavours and explore recipes they might never have tried. Universally known for creating beautiful dishes every cook can create, Lawson is back again with a new book of recipes.
At My Table celebrates home cooking and in the book Nigella shares more than 100 recipes she loves to make for her own family and friends. From new riffs on classic favourites like a chestnut-based chicken fricassee and ginger-rich carrot cake, to a host of new dishes and ingredients, including eggplant fatteh (flat bread) and white miso hummus, At My Table is a volume of delicious ideas from dinner to dessert to be served and savoured for years to come.
In Lawson’s words, “happiness is best shared,” and the recipes in At My Table were created to bring as much joy to the home cooks’ kitchen table as they do hers. Recipes are accompanied by anecdotes and advice from Lawson’s own culinary experiences with more than a dash of humour thrown in for good measure.
Lawson is the author of ten best-selling books including, Nigella Bites, Forever Summer and Feast. These, together with several successful TV series, have made Lawson a household. Lawson has sold more than three million cookbooks worldwide and is also a contributor to the New York Times.
