Just because something is on sale doesn't mean it's a good reason to buy it. There are certain things I’ll splurge on and others I’ll save on by finding a good deal. A great in between is to shop designer on sale. This will ensure that you get the quality at a lower price.
Keep in mind that pieces you wear frequently should be what you splurge on. This usually means basics for me. I find it hard to justify an expensive purchase on something I’ll probably wear once or twice. You’ll also want to find a brand or store that you love. This will edit down the number of places you shop so it’s less time consuming. Finally, the sad truth is that clothing and shoes deprecate in price significantly if you’re looking to re-sell your clothes later on. However, a good investment is designer bags. They tend to hold their value or increase with time.
Splurge:
Bags retain their value through time if you intend of re-selling it in the future.

Blazers are so versatile you will wear all the time no matter the season. Definitely splurge.

Denim is something you will wear over and over again which makes it a splurge item.
