Even though it feels like we’re in the midst of summer, this is actually a great time to find transitional items for fall. Taking a look at your favorite store’s sale section is a great way to start. Generally, you have to act swiftly with sale items because they get scooped up pretty quickly. Trust me, I’ve had contemplation remorse more than once thinking I’ll just wait a week.
Finding affordable finds doesn’t always mean you have to shop at discount department stores. If you prefer luxury brands but still stay on budget, it just means you have to be extra vigilant for sales.
Here are a few fashionable finds that made it to my list this week (click to shop):
1. The Townsend Dress from Aritzia $48: This dress is great as a slip. The current trend is to let the lace peak out under a v-neck blouse or t-shirt. You can also wear this as a standalone dress.
2. Isra Crop Top from Club Monaco $49: This crop top is perfect for work or play. For work, pair with a high waisted midi pencil skirt or high waisted pants. For play, pair with a pleated midi skirt and slingback heels.
3. High Heeled Strappy Sandal from Zara $15: In case you haven’t noticed, strappy sandals are on trend this season. My guess is, it’ll be around for awhile since it’s such a staple that will match pretty much any outfit in your closet. The best part about this pair is strappy sandal is that it’s a slingback heel as well.
4. Silence and Noise Modern Tote Bag from Urban Outfitters $49: A tote bag is great for someone on the go. It’s big enough to fit everything you need for the day with sophistication. Since I tend to wear black, I like a lighter colored bag for contrast.
5. White/Checked Skirt from H&M $39.99: A simple print like this is easy is to match like a sleeveless turtleneck for the summer.
