Denim has been a staple in fashion for as long as I can remember. A classic pair of blue jeans with a plain white tee is so versatile and comfortable that it’s often a quick go to for most people. Denim influenced styles have also made a huge presence in the past two seasons of collections by various designers. While most people think that denim is reserved for a more casual occasion, stylists have found a way to bring denim into a more formal setting.

Finding a great pair of denim is harder than you think. Fit is everything and comfort goes a long way. About a year ago, I converted to Paige denim and never looked back. The best part about Paige is how comfortable and soft the material is. While some people may be hesitant to spend around $168 USD, it’s worth every penny and will serve as an investment piece for years to come with proper care. Since spring is right around the corner, we’re taking this opportunity to highlight some of the key Paige denim pieces to covet.

1.     The denim button down shirt: The denim shirt virtually goes with anything. You can leave it unbuttoned with a relaxed tank and leggings or tuck it into an over the knee pencil skirt with heels for a balance of relaxed yet polished.

2.     The denim jacket: A great finish to a relaxed look, a denim jacket is perfect for the emerging warm weather and best paired with blue jeans. Denim jackets are also great with a pair of tapered pants and flats if you find denim on denim too overwhelming. (Recommendation: The Paige Vermont Jacket in slim fit from Paige)

3.     The classic blue jeans: We don’t have to do much convincing on this here. A tip for finding the right pair is to be aware of your body shape and find a fit that is flattering (and comfortable) for you. Distressed and relaxed jeans are also trending this season.

4.     Denim shorts: I’m definitely excited to see denim shorts make a return for spring/summer. There’s so many ways to style denim shorts. A favorite of ours is pairing it with a knitted relaxed sweater.

5.     White denim: Denim in white is perhaps one of my favorite staples for summer. You get free reign on what you pair with white denim. A bright top or textured sweater is a quick go to for me. Throw on a pair of heels and you’ll have an effortlessly chic look. The truth is white denim can be worn all year round (fashion has long abandoned the rule of not wearing white after labor day).
