Denim is one of my favorite things in my closet that I’ll wear all year round. While wearing denim to work was a taboo years ago, denim is now seeing a dressier side that can be office appropriate. Finding the right fit and comfort is key when shopping for the perfect pair of jeans. Remember to make sure that the waist isn’t too tight by using the finger test (if you can run you finger smoothly around the inside waistline of it). Once I find a pair that I like, I tend to get multiples in different colors.
My favorite pair of denim I’ve owned for the last few years is from Paige Denim and this season I decided to try Paige Denim’s Margot skinny jeans. The medium wash is perfect for summer.
1. Floral Touch
This summer is all about print and a bright floral top adds a pop of color.
2. Denim on denim
There’s a denim takeover this season and on trend are denim skirts, dresses, shirts (and even denim print bathing suits).
3. Off shoulder romance
Off shoulder shirts and dresses are flattering and create a whimsical look. Paired with your favorite denim and you have a summer ready look that’s on trend.
4. Power Stripes
Stripes continue to stay on trend from winter to summer and a great basic print to match with any denim wash.
5. Peppy peplum
Peplum is one of my favorite accents to wear. It adds a touch of femininity and dresses up a look.
