It’s just about that time of the year when I switch up my beauty products. With the wet and windy weather Vancouver has experienced, my skin and lips have also been feeling the change. Many people often ask me when they should switch up their beauty regiment. It’s not rocket science; my answer is you switch when you start to feel and see changes in your skin. It’s all about being vigilant and aware when it comes to your skin.

Finding the right beauty products for your skin type can take awhile but don’t be afraid to sample and find a brand that best suits your lifestyle. If you’re out and about most of the day, you’ll probably want to opt for a light coverage BB cream with an SPF of some kind. Don’t overdo it and give your skin a break once a week.

I’m also a huge fan of one-stop shops. It makes finding every beauty product easy and it’s time efficient. With the opening of Nordstrom in Vancouver nearing, I decided to pull a few beauty products available at Nordstrom which are worth a try.

La Mer Moisturizing soft cream

La Mer Moisturizing soft cream: This cream is incredible if you’re looking for hydration. It’s also great as a base before you put on makeup. I usually keep a travel size container in my purse and have also used it on dry hands.

Sulwhasoo snowise ex brightening mask

Sulwhasoo snowise ex brightening mask: There’s been a lot of buzz about Korean beauty productsfrom using snail mucus as a hydration mask to using yeast extract for bright and supple skin. The Sulwhasoo snowise brightening mask brightens skin, minimizes age spots and fights collagen degradation. Each mask is individually fermented in white ginseng for 2 weeks.

Cle de Peau Beaute lip serum:

Cle de Peau Beaute lip serum: Just in time for colder weather, the Cle de Peau lip serum hydrates while minimizing the appearance of lines. The result is smoother and plump looking lips.

PHYTO Keratine

PHYTO keratine repairing serum for weakened or damaged hair: I tend to let me hair down during the summer which also means I’m styling it more often. When you use a heat source to style your hair, adding moisture back into your hair is essential especially if you’ve colored your hair. Fall is the perfect time to give my hair a break and the phytokeratione repairing serum is easy to use and only a drop will do the trick.

Arcona cranberry gommage exfoliant:

Arcona cranberry gommage exfoliant: While most people are hesitant to exfoliate during the winter, it’s actually a key part of maintaining bright looking skin. The Arcona cranberry exfoliant is the winner of Allure’s Best of Beauty Award. This exfoliant cleanses, tones, decongests enlarged pores.

Mereadesso tinted all in one moisturizer

Mereadesso tinted all in one moisturizer: An all in one tinted moisturizer is great for anyone especially if you’re not into spending a whole lot of time on your makeup or if you tend to sleep and have to rush out the door for work. This tinted moisturizer is a primer, day cream, night cream and eye cream all in one. They also have a great travel kit that includes their all in one moisturizer, face and neck cleanser in resealable sachets and a cleansing cloth.
