One great thing about Vancouver is its abundance of things you can do in the city on any given day. You can step into boutiques like WANT Apothecary on South Granville to remind you of New York or dine at Jules Bistro in Gastown for a taste of Paris. There are certain places in this city that the stylish swoon over and just can’t enough of. This week, I’m sharing some of my favorite spots for style lovers. Bookmark these places because you’ll be going back for more. 

 

Best shopping: 

 

Nordstrom: New to Vancouver, this retailer is a shopper’s paradise. You can find just about anything from designer handbags and labels to beauty products.

I recommend: ‘Fastrada’ Marled Shawl Collor Cardigan, Theory available at Nordstrom.

 

Secret Location in Gastown: A touch of Parisian style and New York edge will lead you straight to this stylish boutique. Owner Carey Melnichuk travels to the most stylish parts of the world and brings a little piece of each city back with her. They also carry a great selection of fashion books and accessories.

Wilfred on Robson: The Wilfred line is any minimalist’s heaven. The pieces can easily be integrated into your current collection and whispers elegance. This store will get your work day look nailed down.

Best bakery and cafe: 

 

Beaucoup bakery: You have to try their salted their salted caramel blondie and cinnamon swirls. I promise, it’ll leave you wanting more.

Pure Bread: Their zucchini loaf with cream cheese icing on the top is a must try. For the perfect merry, pair it with green tea. 

 

 

Lucky’s doughnuts on West 4th Ave: Who doesn’t love a good coffee with donuts. If you’re lucky enough to spot a Matcha donut, don’t hesitate.

The Last Crumb: If you’re into a classic lemon meringue pie, The Last Crumb has you covered.

Best dinner and cocktails: 

Joe Fortes Seafood and Chop House: Centrally located downtown, Joe Fortes has a great selection of fresh oysters and classic seafood plates. The best part is their friendly staff who always make you feel at home.

Tacofino in Gastown: Feeling casual? Tacofino boasts one of the best tacos I have ever tasted. Their menu is simple yet delicious.

I recommend: Any taco and definitely the lime curd vast to finish. 

 

The YEW Seafood Bar: Starting October 5th, the YEW seafood and bar is launching their reverse happy hour (late night). The five new luxury cocktails designed by Lauren Mote all have a tropical theme with delicious bites to accompany.
