It's not a surprise to anyone that black and white are my go to shades all year long. My closet is usually organized by color but black and white remains at the forefront. The main reason I'm drawn to black and white is its verstaility and simplicity. I'm sure there are some people who would disagree with me and deem black and white as boring but styling these basic color is anything but simple when you want to keep things interesting. For summer, I'm looking to white to keep things light and these pieces are among the most coveted on my list because it elevates styling a solid shade like white to another level.
The key to a great summer dress is movement. Try to stick with lighter fabrics with a relaxed cut. The last thing you want is a dress that sticks to your body in an unflattering way as temperatures start to rise. As for accessories, you can go for trendy pieces if you're pairing with solid basics.
