Summer 2017

  Foreword

No city can quite compare to the beauty of Vancouver during summer. There’s a buzz in the city and a vibrance which draws people in from all around the world as a travel destination. This edit is about immersing into diversity with a focus on culture, food, experiences and shopping. Each element presents a different perspective on how we look at things and create opportunity for connection whether it’s with the city or others along the way. This season is all about embracing change and seeing things in a new light.

A highlight to take note of is the Monet exhibit at Vancouver Art Gallery. Perhaps one of the most influential artist of the impressionist era, his collection will not be one to miss. In the fashion realm, off shoulder looks with an etherial feel continue to make a strong presence. An investment piece this summer is the Celine clasp bag which will bring you straight from summer through to the fall. Fashion brands to take note of this season include Monse and Alice McCall who tap into modern femininity so eloquently.

Whether you’re setting off to new locations this season or settling into the beauty of Vancouver, I hope that you will do it with carefree ease, style and experienced rejuvenation.

You can guarantee that summer at the Vancouver Art Gallery brings notable artists and this year is no exception. Claude Monet’s Secret Garden feature will take you straight back to the impressionist era bringing a vivid sense of colour and light.
