Letter: Heat for schools should be free

Aside from the city’s mandate to increase density and therefore the number of families/kids increase, it seems absurd that one government agency is charging the other for a necessary service (power). After all, it is OUR money. Schools should be free of this expense altogether.

My six-year-old twin girls go to McBride Annex and I am ashamed that our government, my representative of the people, is strong arming schools, reducing the quality of education and ultimately dumbing down the population.

Make power, land taxes and the like free to schools. Who, I wonder, would that harm?
