Even the name boldly proclaims locus of importance being the protection of investors! Shouldn't our government be working for protection of Canadians and Canada?

Under the agreement, the rights of Canadians to protect their resources, their communities, their environment and their jobs is relinquished to the Chinese. These investors, which are often state-owned arms of the government, can sue any level of Canadian government in secret, outside the Canadian justice system, if there are threats to their expected profits.

Wouldn't each of us Canadian citizens love to have that kind of secured income. Of course the role we are assured in this document is that we get to pay for the assurances of Chinese companies.
