I totally agree with Doug Massey that the new tunnel should continue to be named after his father (Optimist, letters, April 11).
I have never met Mr. Massey but have never agreed with the provincial government changing the name.
From what I understand the new Pattullo Bridge name isn’t changing its name.
Neither did the Port Mann when it was rebuilt so why is the tunnel being renamed?
Even the Queen came when the tunnel was opened.
The tunnel was an amazing achievement when opened conceived by a forward-thinking man and I find the renaming insulting to his memory and to the family.
