Editor:

There are so many problems around the world these days, therefore, it is great to know that we can make a difference.

There is a Syrian refugee family that has been waiting for a long time to be able to move to Canada, specifically Delta, to give their three children something, they didn’t have — a safer life.

They have finally been given all the necessary permits, and they should be here in a few months. In the meantime, they have been living in Jordan with help from some local churches sharing the cost of food and English lessons.

The easiest thing we can all do is instead of putting our recycles out on garbage day, we can keep them in our garage until we have quite a few wine bottles, pop cans, milk cartons etc., and then take them to the local recycle depot and tell them they are for Tsawwassen United Outreach No. 545. All the money collected will go to the Refugee Fund.
