Aritizia has made their next move for expansion by giving their highly successful Wilfred brand its own distinct identity and space. The new Wilfred store which will be located at 1112 Robson Street directly beside their existing Aritzia storefront on Robson.
So what should you expect from the new Wilfred store? Much of what made Wilfred successsful in the first place will be very much integrated into the store. You can expect to see light knits with a west coast feel.
"This season we've infused asian and Japanese influences in our collection. At the very heart of the brand, it will still have a heavy Parisian flare", says Tenille Magnuson designer for Wilfred.
The price points for the Wilfred collection will range from $35 (for a tee shirt) - $450 (for a coat). The store will also carry high end brand Le Fou.
Currently, there are two other Wilfred stores located in Toronto Canada. The Vancouver space is infused with artwork from local artist Jessica Bell. As for other locations in Vancouver popping up soon? "There's no immediate plans to open a second location in Vancouver just yet", says Fashion Director for Aritzia, Tiyana Grulovic.
For fall 2015, Magnuson commented that they will be releasing a selection of accessories and also introduce some leather bags into the collection.
The Wilfred store was originally set to open December 18th, 2014 but due to construction delays is now targeted for an opening sometime before Christmas.
