Spring brings new light to the city and there’s a new addition to the already trendy West 4th area here in Vancouver. Judith and Charles opened their new doors at 2207 West 4th street on March 20th. Founders Charles Le Pierres and Judith Richardson started designing 20 years ago and currently have stores in 11 locations within North America (even one in New York).  The brand proudly boasts their “Made in Canada” label and making its presence known.

If you’re looking for a simple yet refined look, Judith and Charles is your go to. There’s been an increase in demand for Canadian designers to break into the fashion market. It’s not often we see a “made in Canada” logo since most designers (even prominent ones in the industry) have been outsourcing their patterns for garments to be made overseas at a lower cost.

The brand has no plans on slowing down with 5 more stores set to open in 2015. Prices for their garments are around $200 for tops ($85 for a t-shirt), $300-$500 for dresses and $400-$800 for outerwear and jackets.  Judith and Charles attempt to integrate a touch of elegance to classic items such as denim. You can also easily match most pieces within their collection to just about anything in your closet. The understated designs make it office appropriate but can be transformed into a stylish look for the night simply by adding accessories to it or a quick change of a top.

The store yield great finds for the modern working woman who wants to update their work suit for a fresh look. By manufacturing their products within Canada, it allows for Judith and Charles to gain accessibility on how the product is made especially when it comes to quality.

We’re quite sure that Judith and Charles will fit right into the neighborhood of West 4th and is definitely worth the a look if you’re in the area.
