RCMP recover floating body near Port Mann Bridge

Police pulled a man's body from the Fraser River Wednesday morning and are still trying to determine who he is

Coquitlam RCMP have recovered a man’s body found floating in the Fraser River near the Port Mann Bridge.

A boat operator discovered the body at about 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12.

But when police went to pull the body out, they were hampered by dangerous water conditions and had to return the next morning to retrieve it.

RCMP said they are working with the BC Coroners Service to identify the man and understand how he died. There is no indication of foul play, said police.
