Vancouver-based mobile game developer Kabam has secured a 105,000-square-foot lease at Vancouver Centre II (VCII), currently under construction by GWL Realty Advisors.

Kabam will be the new office tower’s lead tenant, leasing close to a third of the building’s 345,000-square-foot floor space across seven floors. The 33-storey tower is currently under construction as 753 Seymour Street, to be completed by 2021.

“It’s not surprising the building is already one-third leased before excavation is even complete,” says Geoff Heu, vice president of development, Western Canada, for GWL Realty Advisors. “With the current exceptionally low office vacancy rate of 3.9 per cent, we are confident that VCII will be fully leased prior to completion.”

As Centre II’s major tenant, Kabam will have access a number of amenities, including the 29th floor Skyline Rooftop Deck and a fitness facility plus yoga room.

The new lease is part of Kabam’s long-term growth plans. The company also has offices in San Francisco and Austin.
