Aberdeen Centre hosting coronavirus information session Saturday

Aberdeen Centre is hosting an information session on Covid-19 Saturday.

A number of doctors will be at Aberdeen Centre Saturday afternoon to answer any questions about Covid-19.

The mall is hosting an information session from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 in the central atrium. 

A panel of six medical professionals will inform people of the virus’ symptoms and ways to prevent contracting it, as well as provide updates on the outbreak, according to Fairchild's website.

The event will be hosted by Fairchild’s Hon Sang Chan and Clement Tang.

A number of Richmond restaurants have reported a decline in customers due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus, while Lingyen Mountain Temple on No. 5 Road has closed its doors for the foreseeable future as it monitors the spread of Covid-19.  

On Thursday, B.C. health officials announced the province’s sixth case of novel coronavirus, a woman in her 30s who had recently returned from Iran.

That announcement followed Wednesday’s update that B.C.’s first confirmed patient had fully recovered from Covid-19.
