It’s rare that we see roof terraces as sweet as these, so our pick for ultra-luxe listing of the week has to be this penthouse at Bosa’s four-year-old Lido building in Vanouver's Mount Pleasant East.
The 1,560-square-foot penthouse was listed January 4 for $2,980,000, and has almost 1,100 of tricked-out roof terraces on two levels with fabulous mountain, city and False Creek views.
The upper level terrace flows off the great room and has a covered, heated al-fresco dining and lounge area with outdoor gas fireplace.
Steps from the upper terrace lead down to a larger, lower-level terrace with a covered BBQ kitchen, a hot tub, and a lounge with fireplace and a covered outdoor TV.
Inside the penthouse is pretty sweet too, with an open-concept great room with cool brick walls and luxurious kitchen kitted out with Miele appliances. There are two bedrooms, the master with a marble-clad ensuite, plus a den currently used as an office.
The home also has a fully integrated home automation system including air-conditioning, plus a private two-car garage. And all this inside the fancy Lido building near Science World, which boasts a 24-hour concierge, espresso bar, fitness centre and the Lido Deck for which the building is named, which has a large rooftop outdoor pool and wifi-enabled cabanas.
REW's Insights page on the property reports that the 2102 penthouse was valued in July 2018 by BC Assessments at $2,268,000, up seven per cent over the previous assessment. Property taxes last year were $5,225.30, and the new owner will also have to stump up $972 a month in strata fees.
