Construction is almost done at a number of worksites, according to FortisBC, with crews now waiting for the right weather for paving and line painting as part of its gas line upgrades.
The following sections are expected to reopen for traffic next week, weather dependent:
- Como Lake Avenue, Blue Mountain to MacIntosh streets
- Como Lake Avenue, at the North Road intersection
- Broadway, Phillips Place to Arden Avenue
- Springer Avenue, north of Lougheed Highway intersection
“Rain prevents us from resurfacing roads to the required condition for reopening,” said a news release.
“Lougheed Highway successfully opened for traffic between Bainbridge Avenue and Kensington Avenue late last week, ahead of the rain starting.”
Lane closures have started on Broadway between Gaglardi Way and North Road, with work now underway on the Stoney Creek bridge crossing.
