Yesterday we shared the news that Ottawa Senators defenceman Mark Borowiecki has apparently been patrolling the streets, working to prevent crime in Gastown ahead of tonight’s game versus the Canucks.

Aaron Roed of the VPD confirmed that the 6’2″ player took down a would-be robbery suspect in Gastown.

“Vancouver Police are investigating a report of a Theft from Auto in which the witness, Mark Borowiecki, did assist in retrieving the stolen property and notifying the VPD,” Roed told Glacier Media’s John Kurucz. “We are grateful for [Mark’s] assistance and do recommend that if anybody does witness a crime to immediately notify the Vancouver Police and to stay safe.”

Borowiecki has earned the nickname “Borocop”, so of course this morning the Sens released a video that looks like a trailer for an upcoming film we would love to watch.

Dead or alive, you can catch the game at 7 p.m. at Rogers Arena or on Sportsnet.
